It is SO hard to have a tougher skin when people are just nibbling away at you. I think sometimes it’s less about having the tougher skin and creating a safe place at home. I remember the day my husband looked at me and said, “If we aren’t living in sin or unhappy with each other then it isn’t really anyone else’s business what our marriage looks like.” If you are unhappy with each other or have sin issues well those things need to be dealt with. Otherwise remember that people don’t have a right to tell you who you should be. That is NOT the ministry job!!
