Film Testimony on Homosexuality and Christianity
Earlier this month, a video testimony was released online featuring my friend Colby Adams. The film project, called ‘Hear Me,’ was recorded by a few Moody college students, where Colby also attends. The piece centers around Colby’s journey with same-sex attractions, and his struggle with finding acceptance within the church. It is a powerful short story that deals honestly with homosexuality and Christianity.

This is a great resource to share with your students, and can be used on a Wednesday night, during Sunday school, or in a small group setting. Below is a discussion guide I wrote to go along with the film.

Thanks for loving all students!

Thank you for this video and lesson. I have students whose parents are homosexuals and recently a meeting at her school was about the sins of homosexuality… The poor little sweetie was confused, hurt and angry that this God whom she loves so much could be so condemning. I reassured her that God is loving and loves ALL of us; that He sent His Son not to condemn but to save. The two greatest covenants center on love and sadly many Christians fall short of this in their actions. I also have a sister who has a girlfriend of six years. My father and step-mother have disowned her because of it. I so appreciate the message shared and I thank you for spreading the true gospel and that is of a loving, merciful and grace-filled God.
Thanks, Tina.
