One thing Kurt and I love to do is share what God has been teaching us with all of you out there in the Youth Ministry Nation. We are so thankful to be serving alongside you all. I believe there’s a special place in heaven for those who labor on behalf of children. Be encouraged!!!
In this episode, we talk about small churches and some of the traps we find ourselves in as youth workers.
If you have any questions, you can send them to talkyouthministry@gmail.com.
Hope it helps,
AC & Kurt

I totally get where this guy is coming from; my situation is close to that. I’m part of a large parish, but our youth group is literally 5 teens. We meet once a month and I have 1 reliable volunteer but no one helps with the planning all year. We have no budget, and I can’t afford a dime of my own. We get reimbursed for any meals or things on a case-by-case which we’re hoping to change. We meet in a religious ed classroom and talk about one Bible verse then play some games. Sometimes it feels like a tugging a mountain with a rope, by myself. I feel like there’s little support from the parish, especially since no one answers the call to volunteer, but then I think of the teens. They. Are. Awesome. I wouldn’t trade one of them for 10 more. I love them and want to show them Christ every day. It’s why I’m doing this, and why I’m not quitting. (I also am a volunteer and work a 40hr/wk job w/ two kids of my own. I get it.) God Bless!
Thanks caroline,
I understand where you are and will be praying for you. THankful for youth workers like you who understand being faithful to what God has given. Praying for you!!!
