Season 2, Episode 20: Does Everything Happen for a Reason?
Everything happens for a reason. All things work together for good. But what does that mean? If God has a plan, what if it isn’t the same as mine? What if the thing he’s keeping from me—that thing I so desperately want—is for my own protection? What if God’s knowledge of what’s best for me doesn’t automatically result in me getting what I desire?
Join us this week as we interview legendary rock star Brad Corrigan of Dispatch. Despite being a popular musician in one of the world’s hottest bands, Brad shares about being single despite a strong desire to be a family man. The reason that dream hasn’t worked out, he understands, is his chosen lifestyle of spending half his time on tour and the other half in a Nicaraguan trash dump. So now Brad devotes himself to being a “spiritual papa” to kids who sort through garbage piles.
This week on Paying Ridiculous Attention to Jesus Podcast, Rick and Becky tackle a mud-puddle story that many of you have asked us to cover: Jesus cursing the fig tree in Mark 11. We’ll zoom in on what Jesus is really showing us through a tree without fruit and how it relates to his will for our lives.
