When it comes to our modern-day ideas about kings and kingdoms, experiences vary. For those of us born and raised as Americans, kings are something from our Revolutionary history lessons, or from popular fictional TV programs and tabloids featuring William, Harry, and Kate. We can’t image what life in a kingdom is like, in part because we’ve never lived in one.
In contrast, people born elsewhere might be real-life citizens in kingdoms now, and are very familiar with daily life lived under a ruling family or tribe.
Regardless of our experiences, this week we look at what living in a kingdom is like and explore why Jesus has so much to say about the topic. We’ll ZOOM in on places where he talks specifically about kingdoms and what he’s teaching us about his heart.
